An In-Depth Guide to Succeed at Bear Hunts in Whiteout Survival

Bear Hunts are one of the most important game modes and features to play in Whiteout Survival. By participating in them with other players with your best Heroes, you can get some pretty insane rewards that’ll help you progress much faster. This is especially true when it comes to expanding your base and getting new Heroes and Hero Shards. Here’s everything you need to know to get better at playing through Bear Hunts.

🐻 What Are Bear Hunts?

Bear Hunts are Alliance Events where multiple players and their Rally armies can join together to defeat a massive Bear boss. Bears are insanely hard to takedown, but the help of several Heroes and powerful Rallies from multiple players are meant to be a big help. However, your focus shouldn’t only be killing the Bear itself. Instead, you want to deal as much damage as possible individually to increase the number of rewards you get in the end. Need some more Hero Shards? Get more Heroes easily with a whiteout survival top up today!

During a Bear Hunt, the damage your Rally deals in total against the Bear is tracked. This ensures that every player does their best to fight instead of letting a single overpowered player carry the hunt. If you don’t make an effort, then you won’t get anything from the Bear! You also can only participate in Bear Hunts once every two real-life days, so you gotta make the most of the Hunt when you can.

🪤 Bear Traps

To actually unlock Bear Hunts per Alliance, you have to build a Bear Trap. These will become relatively easy to make once you progress a little more in your server. As of a recent update, you can now build two different Hunting Traps which makes players in different time zones have a better chance at fighting Bears together. With the Bear Traps, you’ll be able to see the cooldown before a Bear Hunt can happen.

When a Bear Hunt is ready, you’ll be able to see the Bear stuck in your trap. You can then select the Hunt to start it amongst your Alliance where other players in it can join you. You’re gonna want as many players as possible with their Rallies, as taking down a Bear is not easy at all. Even for the oldest and strongest players, Bears are meant to be taken down in groups which makes them almost impossible to solo.

🔨 Enhancements

Besides upgrading your Heroes the old fashioned way, you can actually upgrade your Bear Traps to get more bonus damage during the Hunt. By upgrading by using Arrowheads, you can increase the average damage you do when revolved around the base stats of the Trap. Basically, you’ll be doing extra bonus damage per attack against the Bear thanks to your trap upgrades.

📖 How Rewards Work

As mentioned before, the number of rewards you get and their rarity will all depend on how much damage you contributed against the Bear during the Hunt. However, even if you didn’t participate in the Hunt at all, you’ll still get some rewards for just being in the Alliance while it happened. These can range from a few Essence Stones, Sergey Shards, and Alliance Tokens based on how old the Alliance’s server is. To even start Bear Hunts in the first place, you’re gonna need at least 20 Alliance members, so that’s still a lot of rewards to go around!

Then there’s the personal rewards you can only get when you fight in the Bear Hunt. As seen in the chart above, you can get some insane amounts of rewards when you do lots of damage. However, doing so will require a ton of strong Heroes with lots of upgrades, but there are ways to go about it smarter during Hunts. This way, you can get the best rewards each time and progress your base and armies a whole lot faster. The more Bear Hunts you do, the more those rewards add up.

📜 Hunting Achievements

Alongside the rewards you get after every Bear Hunt, you also have some achievements you can complete for more. Even if you aren’t that strong yet with some Heroes that still need some upgrading, the Bear Hunts are still worth doing if it means getting some rewards through participation and these achievements. There’s a ton of them too and an unlimited number of Bear Hunts when in an Alliance, so it doesn’t hurt to join in and try your best whenever they happen!

🏹 Cyrille The Bear Huntress

If you need some more help with completing Bear Hunts and getting the most rewards, we recommend using Cyrille the Bear Huntress. If you have her as your Rally Leader, her entire kit is guaranteed to make the most out of every Hunt. She not only increases your Rally’s damage against the Bear, but also increases the number of Essence Stone rewards when you finish the Hunt. She’s by far one of the best Heroes to use strictly for Hunts, so don’t be surprised if you see your Alliance Members use her too. There’s a good reason for that!
